Skips on public / council highways-pavements-grass verges

ALL skips placed on council land require a permit from the local councils, it does not matter if they are there for an hour, a week, or longer, they still need one.

All councils in our area require three working days notice, (that does not include sat & sun).

They charge £25.00 for the permits which last for 28 days, if you have the skip for longer than 28 days you will be required to pay for another permit.

Remember that highways, pavements, grass verges all belong to councils and will require a permit!

It is illegal to place a skip on any on these without one, and voids all public liability insurances. So remember to ask our staff to apply for one for you. We do not charge for obtaining the permit for you. If in doubt ask a member of our staff whilst on the phone.

You may be refused a permit if it is close to a bend or on double yellow lines. Always check and supply as much details as possible.

You can get an emergency permit the same day or next day but this costs more money. Check with a member of staff for prices.

REMEMBER If you don't own it, chances are it requires a permit!
